This is a novella length book.
When Mandalyn Laramie starts working at McCauley’s Sunflower Farm, the last thing she wants is attention. She's recently lost her fiancé Jack, and she needs time to process her grief.
Before long, the farmer’s nephew Braydon arrives from California and is given a job alongside her, as her boss. Braydon is as bewitched by Mandalyn’s beauty as she is annoyed by his laidback, quirky ways. Her irritation with him turns to affection as his kindness and good humor undo her plan to spend her summer in mourning. Against all odds, she finds herself attracted to him.
Has Mandalyn been given a second chance at love, or will Braydon break her heart before it's barely had a chance to heal?

Sunflowers and Second Chances is about letting go of the past and embrace the possibilities of a future, combined with hot for boss and enemies to lovers. But overall, the story, while charming, just didn't grab me.Mandalyn Laramie is despondent after losing her fiancee Jack. She went off to work over the summer on McCauley's Sunflower Farm store, trying to numb herself with work. She wasn't ready for male attention, esp. from the store owner's carefree but gorgeous nephew Braydon, now technically her boss as the owners left on vacation. Braydon is laidback and quirky, the exact opposite of Mandalyn, who's serious and orderly. But his kindness and good humor started to unwind her plans to work herself to recovery... But when Braydon had to go back to California, will she agree to go with him?
The shift toward "annoying" to "lovely" feels a bit abrupt. The different worlds trope is okay, and the built-in expiration date seems to work. But overall, nothing really outstanding here.

Sunflowers and Second Chances edition by Holly TierneyBedord Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
A very good story about a young woman that lost her fiance and. then she found a second chance to love
Very short very predictable
I like the book because it's an easy read. I read scientific articles all day, and I want something fun and really good to read when I have time off. This author is really fun. I've read several of her books.
Just wished the story didn't end where it did. It should have gone further. But it definitely was about second chances!
Life can offer second chances even if you are still grieving your loss.
And sometimes that second chance come out of the left field!
Good story line
